Tariff-Related Price Increases Up to 10% Coming May 1st

Tariff-Related Price Increases Up to 10% Coming May 1As we first communicated in February, Power Solutions, LLC and our manufacturer partners have been watching the US tariff policy closely. Our industry is one that heavily relies on global trade as parts, components and finished goods are manufactured all over the world. Particularly impactful for our business are the Executive Orders issued for tariffs on Mexico, Canada, China and Steel and Aluminum in addition to the recently announced reciprocal tariffs on countries around the world.

Unfortunately, current US trade policy and the blanket 10% reciprocal tariffs have forced Schneider Electric and our other partner manufacturers, to implement a 10% price increase across all products and services.

Starting May 1st, all Schneider Electric products and services will be subject to a price increase. This increase applies to all product categories, will supersede existing quotes and, in some cases, may force re-pricing of existing projects. It is important that you stay in touch with your Power Solutions Power Expert as we work to get orders booked and shipped with as little impact to your budget and project timeframe as possible.

All other manufacturing partners, particularly those producing batteries and DC Plants are also experiencing the same pressures from the current US trade policy. Some products, particularly those manufactured in China, may be temporarily unavailable as our industry continues to address the supply chain challenges of the new tariff policies.

As our industry works to analyze and adjust global operations to mitigate the impact of US trade policy, we expect these price increases to be followed by supply chain disruptions that could be as impactful as what we saw in 2021-2023 as the world’s trade recovered from the impact of the pandemic. We encourage our customers evaluating current and near-term projects to get orders booked and confirmed as soon as possible.

We at Power Solutions are monitoring the situation very closely and will be sharing information as it becomes available. In the meantime, we suggest staying in touch with your Power Solutions sales rep and watching our website, power-solutions.com, for the most up-to-date information on how our industry is responding to the changes in global trade.
