The Schneider Electric Gutor PXC is a 10–100 kVA, high-performance, compact, pre-engineered 3-phase UPS specifically built for light and heavy industrial applications. Unlike standard data center UPS systems, the Gutor PXC is engineered to handle the demanding power quality conditions found in manufacturing, process control, oil and gas, transportation, and utility environments – including wider input voltage/frequency tolerances and enhanced environmental protection.

The Schneider Electric Galaxy VM (160–1000 kVA) reached end-of-life in September 2025. If you have an existing Galaxy VM installation or are evaluating replacements, Power Solutions can conduct a load assessment of your existing Galaxy VM installation, identify the appropriate current-generation replacement — typically the Galaxy VL for systems in the 200–500 kVA range or the Galaxy VX for systems above 500 kVA — and manage the full transition including equipment ordering, installation coordination, and service contract transfer. If your existing battery infrastructure is compatible, we can evaluate whether it can be retained with the replacement system to reduce capital cost.

Call 800-876-9373 or contact us at power-solutions.com/request-a-quote with your current Galaxy VM kVA rating and installation year to get started.

APC Smart-UPS models (single-phase) are typically the right choice for protecting individual servers, networking equipment, workstations, and smaller server rooms up to approximately 20 kVA. Schneider Electric Galaxy systems (three-phase) are appropriate when your total load exceeds what single-phase UPS systems can address, when you are protecting an entire data center or critical power zone, when your facility uses three-phase power distribution, or when you need the scalability and redundancy features of enterprise-grade UPS architecture.

Because the boundary between single-phase and three-phase is not always obvious from nameplate calculations alone — particularly in environments with mixed IT and facilities loads, or where load growth is expected — Power Solutions recommends a load review before specifying either platform. Contact our team with your equipment list, total square footage of the space, and any known expansion plans. Call 800-876-9373 or visit power-solutions.com/request-a-quote.

A: Yes. Schneider Electric offers lithium-ion battery options for the Galaxy VS, VL, and VX series. Lithium-ion batteries provide longer service life (typically 8–10 years vs. 3–5 years for VRLA), a significantly smaller and lighter form factor, faster recharge times, and built-in battery management. They are particularly well-suited for applications where battery replacement is logistically complex or costly, such as dense data centers or remote sites. Power Solutions can specify and supply lithium-ion configurations for any Galaxy series system.

A: The Gutor PXC is a 10–100 kVA three-phase UPS engineered specifically for industrial environments. It is designed to operate reliably in harsh conditions — elevated temperatures, humidity, dust, and vibration — that would stress standard IT-grade UPS systems. Common applications include oil and gas, water treatment, manufacturing, and other industrial process control environments. Unlike the Galaxy series, the Gutor line prioritizes ruggedness and long service life over compact footprint.

A: EcoCare is Schneider Electric’s service contract program for single-phase APC UPS systems. For three-phase Galaxy series equipment, Schneider Electric offers separate service programs through authorized partners. Power Solutions is an authorized APC/Schneider Electric service partner and provides maintenance contracts, battery replacement, preventive maintenance, and on-site repair for the Galaxy series. Contact Power Solutions to discuss service coverage options for your Schneider Electric equipment.

A: Power Solutions provides application engineering support for Schneider Electric Galaxy UPS systems at no charge as part of the sales process. To receive a recommendation, provide your total load in kW, your facility’s input voltage (208V or 480V), required runtime, redundancy requirements (N+1 internal, parallel frames, or single system), and whether you are designing a new installation or replacing existing equipment.

Our team will identify the appropriate Galaxy model and configuration — VS, VL, or VX — specify VRLA or lithium-ion battery options with a total cost of ownership comparison, provide a formal quote, and can coordinate delivery, installation, and Schneider Electric startup service. For Galaxy VM replacements specifically, we can assess your current installation and manage the full transition.

Call 800-876-9373 or submit a request at power-solutions.com/request-a-quote with your load requirements and we will follow up within one business day.
