Schneider Electric Uniflair Air Cooled Condensers are specifically engineered heat rejection units for row and room cooling products. These condensers are system matched to maximize the availability of Row and Room cooling systems. Uniflair condensers provide a complete solution for small to medium data centers and are available with fixed and variable speed fans, these products support a wide range of applications.
Uniflair air-cooled condensers are the matched outdoor heat rejection component for InRow DX (direct expansion) cooling equipment. Available with fixed and variable speed fans, they support a complete InRow DX deployment in small to medium data centers.
Uniflair Air Cooled Condensers Features
- Direct drive motors – Stress on bearings is nearly eliminated, increasing useful life. Allows integral fan/motor assembly to be factory balanced, which lowers vibration and expedites startup.
- Variable speed fans -Variable speed fans reduce energy consumption during off-peak cooling periods
- Pairs with Schneider Electric Row and Rack cooling equipment for an efficient, reliable system
- UL Listed
Refrigerant Compatibility
Air-cooled condensers and the indoor InRow DX units they serve operate as a matched refrigerant system. The condenser and the indoor unit share the same refrigerant circuit and must be designed for the same refrigerant. R410A condensers and R32 condensers are not interchangeable — R32 operates at higher pressures than R410A and uses different control logic, pressure ratings, and oil compatibility specifications.
This matters in 2026 because Schneider Electric’s InRow DX product line is transitioning from R410A to R32 ahead of the EPA Technology Transitions Rule, effective January 1, 2027. In practical terms:
- New R32 InRow installations — including the 11 kW ACRD101S/P launched April 2026 — require R32-compatible outdoor condensers.
- Existing R410A InRow installations can continue to operate with their existing R410A condensers. There is no regulatory requirement to replace working installed equipment.
- When replacing an R410A InRow with a new R32 unit, the outdoor condenser must also be replaced as part of the project scope. The condenser cannot be carried over.
For the regulatory framework, the affected InRow products, the transition timeline, and what’s involved in a replacement project, see our companion article: The R410A Refrigerant Transition in Data Center Cooling.
